Florida credential
Adonis Saremi, MD. Florida Department of Health out-of-state telehealth registration: profession "TLHT Medical Doctor", registration number TPME26, status Clear/Active, issued December 23, 2019. This is a telehealth registration, not a full Florida medical license. His full medical license is from California.

Florida lets a physician licensed in another state treat patients located in Florida by telehealth, once the physician registers with the Florida Department of Health. A registered provider can't open an office in Florida or see Florida patients in person, so all of Dr. Saremi's care for Florida patients happens by video. Florida Statutes 456.47
The registration also requires professional liability coverage for telehealth patients outside the doctor's home state, and it holds the doctor to the same standard of care as an in-person visit in Florida.
Florida's rules for weight-loss medication
Florida has its own rule for any medication prescribed for weight loss, GLP-1s included. Under it:
- The medication is for adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or over 27 with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
- You give written consent before you start.
- You're re-evaluated at least every three months. Dr. Saremi's check-ins are monthly.
- You receive Florida's Weight-Loss Consumer Bill of Rights.
How it works
- A free 15-minute consult. You ask your questions and hear what your own monthly total would be before you commit to anything.
- A 30-minute first visit by video. Labs and your full history set your baseline. Dr. Saremi reads every number himself and writes your plan.
- A 15-minute check-in by video every month. Your dose is adjusted from what your numbers show.
- Messaging on weekdays, with a same-day reply. In Florida that's 1 to 8 pm Eastern time (noon to 7 pm in the Central-time Panhandle).
You need to be in Florida, or another state where he's licensed, at the time of each visit. He holds medical licenses in California, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois and Texas, and a Florida telehealth registration.
What it costs
Membership: $249 a month on the Essential plan, or $224 a month if you pay for the year. It covers your visits with Dr. Saremi, your care plan and messaging him directly. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Medication is not included. Your prescription is filled and billed by the pharmacy. Dr. Saremi prescribes brand-name, FDA-approved GLP-1s only, never compounded versions.
If you pay the manufacturer's self-pay price, these are the published monthly prices as of October 2026:
- Wegovy pen: $349 ($199 for a new patient's first two fills at the two starting doses, through December 31, 2026). NovoCare
- Zepbound: $299 at 2.5 mg, $399 at 5 mg, and $449 at 7.5 to 15 mg if you refill within 45 days. Lilly
- Wegovy pill: $149 to $299, depending on the dose. NovoCare
So a month on the Essential plan with a Wegovy pen at the self-pay price comes to $598. With Zepbound it runs from $548 to $698, depending on the dose. Labs and other tests are billed separately, only when you need them.
Who you'll see
Every visit is with Dr. Adonis Saremi himself. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine and Clinical Informatics, trained in internal medicine at UC San Diego, and was the Chief Medical Officer of Noom. Between visits you message him directly, not a portal or a care coordinator.
His offices are in La Jolla and Newport Beach, California. Patients outside California see him by video.
Questions people in Florida ask
- Can Dr. Saremi treat me in Florida?
- Yes, by video. He holds a Florida telehealth registration (TPME26), which lets a physician licensed in another state treat Florida patients by telehealth. It is not a full Florida medical license. You can see it on the Florida Department of Health's license lookup.
- Can I see him in person in Florida?
- No. Florida's telehealth registration doesn't allow an office or in-person care in Florida, so Florida patients see him by video. His offices are in La Jolla and Newport Beach, California.
- Does the practice bill my insurance?
- No. Membership is paid directly, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted. The medication is billed by the pharmacy, and the manufacturers' self-pay prices are listed above.
- What happens if I'm traveling during a visit?
- Each visit has to happen while you're in a state where Dr. Saremi can treat you: California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois or Texas. If you'll be somewhere else, move the visit.
